Meet
Director of Administration, University on the Niger Teaching Hospital, Iyienu.
I am Rev. Nonso Stanley Anene — an inspirational young leader driven by purpose, excellence, and a deep sense of service. Over the years, I have strived to embody integrity and diligence across healthcare, community development, and philanthropy, all anchored on the desire to impact lives and build sustainable systems.
I currently serve as the Director of Administration at the University on the Niger Teaching Hospital (formerly Iyienu Mission Hospital, Ogidi). I hold professional and academic qualifications including: Leadership & Management in Healthcare (University of Washington, USA), Executive Diploma in International Healthcare Administration (LaPlage Metaverse CourseWare), MSc in Applied Microbiology (Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka), B.Th (Paul’s University, Awka), Dip.MS (Institute of Management Specialists, Warwickshire, England), and I am pursuing an MBA at the National Open University of Nigeria. I am also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
My leadership journey includes service as: Pioneer State Coordinator, YALI Network Anambra State; Assistant State Secretary, NYCN Anambra Chapter; Country Director, Global Youth Assembly (GYA); and Pioneer State Chairman, Anambra Young Professionals Network (AYPN).
I am the Founder of the RibbonCare Volunteer Network, coordinating numerous medical outreaches to rural communities, and the Olive Sickle Cell Initiative, which focuses on reducing sickle cell incidence across Nigeria.
My recognitions include Fellowships from the Institute of Management Specialists (FIMS) and Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC); the International Youth Award by Jamie Pajoel International; and the State Honours Award from the NYSC (Delta State, 2010).
I serve as a Special Marshal with the FRSC and a member of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Ogidi Division. I also served as Special Assistant on Health to the immediate past FRSC State Coordinator.
Beyond administration and leadership, I am an ordained Anglican priest worshipping at St. Peter’s Parish, Nkpor-Agu, under the Diocese on the Niger. I am joyfully married to Mercy Nzubechukwu Anene, and we are blessed with a daughter, Chizaram Michelle Chimnora Anene.
Outside official duties, I enjoy reading, teaching, writing, public speaking, and music. I play the piano, bass guitar, and saxophone. Friends affectionately call me “Prof” — born of my unrelenting pursuit of knowledge and excellence. I believe in servant-leadership: using influence for impact, and serving God and humanity with humility, courage, and grace.
“I believe leadership is not about titles, but about service — to God, to people, and to purpose.” — Rev. Nonso Stanley Anene
